A mother and her daughter died and two others were injured and admitted to the Karapitiya hospital following a motor car-tipper truck collision at Welhengoda, Ahangama on the Galle-Matara road yesterday, Ahangama Police said.
The dead were identified as Wickramage Dayawathie (58) and her daughter Rasika Priyadarshanee (28) of Angunakolapelessa. The tipper driver is in police custody.
Police investigations are continuing.
