Book Launch ‘The Inward Eye: A Collection of English poems’ by A Jayalath Basnagoda ( Senior lecturer at Mahaweli National College of Education) will take place at the Auditorium of Mahaweli National College of Education on January 21 from 10 am to 12 noon. The Chief Guest will be Kamala Wijeratne.
This collection consists of hundred poems (which have appeared in Sunday Observer, Daily News, The Island and The Nation) under different themes such as Love, Death, Childhood, Old age, Nature, and many other themes which are closely related to ordinary life experiences. This collection has been approved as a library book by the National Library and Documentation Services Board and the Ministry of Education.
A special feature of this collection is most of the poems have many layers of meaning with simple and short diction which could be understood by any reader. The price of the book is Rs.300/-
