All facilities to be provided for JO May Day rally:PM

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe instructed that all facilities be provide for the Joint Opposition’s May Day rally scheduled to be held at the Galle Face Green under the patronage of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

The Premier also instructed that main roads and necessary facilities be provided to the participants of the May Day rally. Wickremesinghe notified the relevant ministries to provide Police officers to ensure the safety of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa and other higher ups attending the rally. Participants will be provided with adequate drinking water and mobile wash room facilities, he added.

The Prime Minister further instructed the higher ups of the Police Department to discuss the required facilities with the Joint Opposition leaders.
