Sarath Jayamanne new Bribery Chief

Additional Solicitor General Sarath Jayamanne has been appointed the new Director General of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC), the Presiden't Media Division reported. 

Jayamanne is a President’s Counsel and sixth in seniority at the Attorney General’s Department.

The position of Director General became vacant after former Dilrukshi Dias Wickramasinghe tendered her resignation on October 17.

Deputy Director General Sunethra Jayasinghe was appointed Acting Director General.
