Dr. Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, Honorary Consul General of Yemen in Sindh Pakistan and President of the Honorary Consular Corps Sindh was nominated Chairman of the World Federation of Consuls for the Southern Asia Region at a recent meeting in Brussels.
Dr. Baig will be responsible for India, Pakistan, Iran, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Maldives, Bhutan and Afghanistan and will deal with their National Consular Corps in the World Federation of Consuls.
Dr. Ikhtiar Baig has been elected for three consecutive terms representing Pakistan on the Board of Directors of the WFC, which is a representative body of the Hon. Consul Generals of the world, operating under the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations 1963 of the United Nations.
