A 26-year-old man was arrested on the Monday night in connection with the shooting incident where a pregnant woman was injured outside the Welikada prison on Saturday(05). Police said the Colombo Crimes Division arrested the suspect at Midigama in Weligama. The police also recovered a hand grenade and five mobile phones from the suspect's procession. A pregnant woman was injured when two gunmen arrived on a motorbike and opened fire at her. She was with an old woman and child, just opposite the Welikada Prison in Borella. Still she is receiving treatment at the Colombo National Hospital.
