A hybrid car was completely gutted by a fire at Sembettai, Madurankuli, Mundel on Monday morning. Police said the car parked in front of a house in Sembettai caught fire around 2.30 a.m. The vehicle owner said he was travelling from Anuradhapura to Colombo on Sunday evening, when the car suddenly stopped. He said he parked the car opposite a house. He was later informed that the car had caught fire at midnight. Mundel Police are investigating. Picture by Puttalam Special Correspondent
