Bimandie Bandara of Hilwood College Kandy and Nimesh Ranchagoda of Sri Lanka Navy emerged open women's and men's champions at the Tibhar All Island Open and junior ranking Table Tennis tournament concluded at Kandy Municipality Indoor Stadium over the week end.

Bimandie defeated experienced Ishara Madurangi of Sri Lanka Port Authority 3-1 at the women's open final while Nimesh won the men's open final defeating Nuwantha Niroshana 3-1. Bimandie won her second champion title as she defeat Navindi Seneviratne of Kegalle Balika 3-0 at the girls' under 19 final.

Chanuki Akasha of Dharmasoka Ambalangoda beat Thinithi Hapuarachchi of Mahamaya Kandy in the girls under 11 final while Sadinthie Jayasinghe of Museaus beat Shamalsha Dewmi of Holy Cross Gampaha 3-2 to win girls under 15 title.

Yoshini Jayawardena of Mahamaya won the girls under 13 title defeating Tharuli Jinethma of Dharmasoka Ambalangoda 3-1.

Lesanya Sethumdi of Dharmasoka Ambalangoda made hard fought 3-2 win over Navindi Seneviratne of Kegalle Balika to win girls under 17 title.

The 10-year-old Kenura Silva of Nalanda won boys under 11 title defeating Onel Dhammika of Dharmasoka Ambalangoda 3-0 while Navindu Nethsara of Dharmasoka Ambalangoda defeated Agastha Ananditha of Vidyartha 3-0 to win boys under 13 title.

Shafiullha Akram of Hill Country beat Hareen Nimdinu of Dharmasoka Ambalangoda 3-1 to win boys under 15 title while Thisum Gamage of Ananda defeated Shafiullha Akram 3-2 to win boys under 17 title. Anandian Danuk Lamasuriya won the boys under 19 title defeating Oshan Senaratharachchi of Royal 3-2.

Table Tennis Association Vice Presidents Saman Sri Ratnayake, former National champion Namal Gunasekara and Buddhi Withanachchi were present at the presentation ceremony.
