A gold necklace belonging to a nurse working at the Welimada Hospital was stolen yesterday (22) afternoon while she was on her way for work. The thief is reported to have followed the nurse before stealing the chain and running away.
Police say that the nurse who resides at Miragahawatta, Galwatte was walking to work from Welimada. The value of the stolen gold necklace is estimated at Rs.252,000.
