In honor of International Music Day, the French Spring Festival is delighted to present a full day dedicated to the vibrant sounds of French and Sri Lankan music. Taking place on 24 June, this musical extravaganza will unfold in two stages, featuring an open mic session at the esteemed Alliance française of Colombo in the afternoon (from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm), followed by an electrifying live concert at the Sri Lankan Foundation Institute in the evening (starting from 6:00 pm). International Music Day, also known as Fête de la Musique, has been celebrated annually on 21 June since its inception in 1982 in France. The event originally encouraged people to embrace the spirit of festivity by playing music outdoors. Over the years, International Music Day has gained popularity worldwide and has become a global celebration of the universal language of music. LéaPaci, the talented French singer-songwriter, was born and raised in the enchanting city of lights, Paris. From a young age of 6, she discovered her passion for theater and acting, which eventually led her down the path of music. At the age of 16, she embarked on a self-taught musical journey, declining offers from popular French TV shows like “The Voice” and instead choosing to showcase her talent through YouTube covers.
