OKI International School Network donates house and IT lab

OKI International School Network recently handed over a house to its most senior employee, P.T. Yogarajah, fulfilling the expectation of its late founder Chairman Nimal Saparumadu.

The key of the house was handed over to Yogarajah by Nirmalie Saparamadu, Chairperson and Denum Abeysekera, Director of OKI International School Network, as a part of its CSR project and its 25th anniversary celebrations.

In accordance with the celebration, a fully equipped IT laboratory worth Rs. 3 million was donated to St. Joseph Junior Secondary School at Kandawala by Denum Abeysekera recently. The handing over ceremony was held with the participation of staff members of OKI International School, Wattala.

The idea of the donation of IT Laboratory was initiated by Denum Abeysekera, the Director. This project was successful with the commitment, hard work and enthusiasm of the staff members.

Kandawala St. Joseph Junior Secondary School has 350 students and 19 teachers, and is located in a rural area in Negombo. These students were affected during and after the Covid-19 pandemic as they did not have access to Information Technology.

OKI International School Network came forward in supporting and ensuring that the underprivileged children gain IT knowledge and are able to continue their education amidst the current economic challenges, through a timely donation carried out as part of its CSR.
