Eleven injured in school bus crash in Diyatalawa

The Diyatalawa Police said that a school bus carrying students collided with a private bus running between Diyatalawa and Mannar in the Kahagolla area of Diyatalawa yesterday morning (16), seriously injuring 13 persons including schoolchildren.

The injured have been admitted to the Diyatalawa, Hospital.

The driver and the conductor of the private bus were also injured in the accident and the driver who had been trapped in the driver’s seat of the bus had been rescued with great effort and admitted to the hospital.

Police said that six schoolgirls, three students, a teacher and another person who were in the school bus had been injured.
