A person who stole a Leyland type lorry with 648 gas cylinders has been arrested by the Vavuniya Police.
This gas agency is located in Vavuniya Veppankulam area and is run by a woman. The Police said that the suspect who broke into the house of this business woman stole the stock of gas cylinders and the lorry
“During the investigation, the suspect, who is her elder son, was arrested and the lorry with a gas cylinder too was found,” Police said.
The Police said that the investigation revealed that the suspect committed the robbery over a personal dispute regarding the ownership of property after the death of his father.
Police said that the suspect had stolen the gas cylinders and the lorry with the intention of destabilizing his mother’s business.
