The Vietnam Embassy commemorated the 133rd birth anniversary of the late President Ho Chi Minh and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of his statue in Sri Lanka at the Colombo Public Library premises, on Friday, May 19.
Vietnam Ambassador Thi Thanh Truc paid a floral tribute to the late President. The chief guest was Secretary, Ministry of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs Somarathne Vidanapathirana.
Myanmar Ambassador Han Thu, Thailand Ambassador Poj Harnpol, Malaysian High Commissioner Badli Hisham Adam, Indonesian Ambassador Dewi Gustina Tobing, Chinese Embassy Political Counsellor Chen Xiangyuan, Vietnam Embassy Counsellor and Deputy Head of Mission Tran Trong Thanh and Embassy officials also paid floral tributes to the late President.
Foreign Ministry Director General Overseas Administration W.G.S. Prasanna, Colombo Municipal Council Commissioner J.M. Bhadranie Jayawardhana, Colombo Public Library Chief Librarian Waruni Gagabadaarachchi, Sri Lanka_Vietnam Solidarity Association General Secretary S. Sudasinghe and Municipal Secretary D.M.S.A. Niroshana were also present.
