Travel ban on MR, Pavithra, Rohitha and Kanchana lifted

Four persons including former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, MPs Pavithra Wanniarachchi, Rohitha Abeygunawardena, and former Provincial  Council member Kanchana Jayaratne, who have not been named as suspects in the attack on the activists on May 9 of last year, have had their travel restrictions lifted on the order of Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage yesterday.

The Magistrate yesterday ordered to forward this order to the Immigration and Emigration Controller to release their passports.

The Magistrate also ordered that the fourth suspect, MP Milan Jayatilaka, be released on an additional bail of Rs.10 million until the next day.
