I am really happy to receive the player of the series award said Sri Lankan promising batswoman Harshitha Samarawickrma after the Bangladesh T-20 series win at the SSC grounds yesterday

My skipper Chamari Atapattu gave me the strength to play my innings while my coach advised me to stay at the wicket until the end of the innings and I did my best for the team said Harshitha Samarawickrma the 24 year old top order batter.

When I went to the wicket Nilakshi de Silva my senior player and I had chat to build up the innings yesterday while my responsibility was to occupy the crease to build a good partnership. I think Nilakshi made a superb knock of 39 ball 63 and her aggressive knock gave a big boost for us and put the opponents under pressure.

My dedication and commitment was always high and my consistent batting was the key to my success, said Harshitha.

Meanwhile Nilakshi de Silva the player of the match who scored her maiden T-20 half century said I had to get my runs quickly while our task was to build up a challenging total. I missed many opportunities to complete half centuries and most of the times I had to stay at the wicket with unbeaten knocks. However more then my maiden half century we are happy to win the game and the series added Nilakshi de Silva.

Skipper Chamari Atapattu said after the first losing T-20 game my team came back strongly and especially we made some mistakes in the middle order batting and it was rectified to win the game.

I think my younger players really performed well and hope for their support with my seniors during the next matches. We have an uphill task to get T-20 and One Day qualification and all my team want to fulfil this task said skipper Chamari Atapattu.
