Four passengers in the care were seriously hurt and one is said to be critical.
Two women were killed in a car and motorcycle collision on Urkhavarurai Road in Jaffna, yesterday.
The two women were travelling on the motorcycle and one of them died instantly when the motorcycle collided head-on with the car, while the other woman died while being taken to hospital.
Four others travelling in the car were seriously injured and have been admitted to the Jaffna Teaching Hospital. Police said one of them is critical.
