Dambulla take on Jaffna at NSL L/O final today

Dambulla team led by Minod Bhanuka will meet Jaffna team at the National Super League limited over final game scheduled to played at R. Premadasa International cricket Stadium today (6) commencing under light at 2.30pm.

This tournament is organised by the Sri Lanka Cricket as the first day night affair of the tourney, said SLC tournament Director Samantha Dodanwala. Earlier all League round matches were played as day matches.

Dambulla coached by Upul Chandana the world Cup 1996 champion team member have a well balanced side while they have slight advantage as during the league round they beat same Jaffna team on D/L method.

Dambulla lost only to Galle having 32 points while Jaffna made hard fought battle to enter the final having 20 points. Galle team was at third place having 18 points. In fact Dambulla already won NSL four day champion title are looking to make double to take this title but Jaffna who missed his regular skipper Sadeera Samarawickrama due to National duty is ready to pose a tough battle today.

This finals game will be shown live on "Channel Eye" of the SLRC from 2pm onwards. The game will also be shown via the Sri Lanka Cricket YouTube Channel within Sri Lanka.

The champion team will receive Rs 2,000,000 and Runner up will get Rs. 1,000,000. In addition individual cash prizes will be offered to Player of the Tournament (Rs. 300,000), Best Batman:( Rs. 150,000), Best Bowler: (Rs. 150,000) and Player of the Finals (Rs.75,000)
