Owner finds three T56 bullet boxes in KKS land

Three boxes containing 2,241 T56 bullets were found in a land near the Kankesanthurai Railway Station on Tuesday, when its owner was clearing the land. The landowner had informed the Kankesanthurai Police. A Police team had investigated the land and taken the bullets to the Police custody.

The land was previously used as a camp of the Army’s Engineering Corps during the war.The land had been released to its original owner about four days ago. The bullet boxes had been recovered when the owner was clearing it with the help of a few others.
