SJB leaders deceived me - Beruwala Mayor

Beruwala Mayor Masai Mohammed yesterday said that the leaders of Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) deceived him.

He pointed out that although he was invited to contest for the Beruwala Municipal Council for this upcoming Local Government Election, his name has been removed at the handing over of nominations.

He asked as to why the decisions taken by the SJB leaders are not implemented at the lower level.

The Beruwala Mayor said that they gave him the nomination list at the last minute without including his name. “SJB leader Sajith Premadasa posed for a photo with me and he invited me to join hands to ensure the party’s victory at the Local Government election,” he said.
