People’s Bank enables Ayagama, Dumbara Tamil Vidyalaya with solar electricity

People’s Bank’s ‘Mahajana Mehewara’ CSR drive recently completed yet another project to provide electricity and water facilities to under-resourced schools.

Under this novel concept which combines sustainability with education, Solar panels along with an inverter system and a water tank were provided to Ratnapura, Ayagama, Dumbara Ellagawa, Dumbara No.02 Tamil Vidyalaya. Ayagama, Dumbara No.02 Tami Vidyalaya Principal Krishnan Ashokan along with the staff of the school, as well as representatives from People’s Bank including Ratnapura Assistant Regional Manger G.P Chathurika, Kiriella Branch Manager Charith Malalasekara and bank staff along with students graced the occasion.
