CCC-4 Commanding Officer Colonel Chandana Jayamaha warmly welcomed the MINUSMA Force Commander at the entrance to the camp in Gao, Mali and introduced him to the Senior Officers serving the CCC-4.

Lieutenant General C.J Kees Matthijssen commended their dedicated role being performed in the last five months and stated that the CCC-4 has performed its duties with outstanding dedication and professionalism as the only contingent conducting convoy operations to MINUSMA bases in Kidal, Aguelhoc and Tessalit. “You have been providing security for logistic convoys under trying circumstances having carried out operations covering more than 5,346 km while providing security to 154 fuel bowsers and 115 cargo trucks despite life-threatening risks and adverse weather and inhospitable terrains,” he said.
