Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena placing the Sacred Relics casket on the tusker, marking the commencement of Ranwala Maha Perahera, the most popular Buddhist procession among the people of Kelani Valley yesterday (29). The Perahera commenced at Ranwala and travelled through several streets and ended at Kosgama. MP Yadamini Gunawardena and Sithawala Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman Jayantha Rohana were also present.
