Aura Lanka Group of companies procured the ownership of the Dambulla team participating in the (LPL), Lanka Premier League Cricket Tournament which will commence today. (6)
The contract in this regard was recently signed between Dr. Viranjith Thambugala Chairman Aura Lanka Group of companies and President of Aura Lanka Sports Pvt Ltd and Anil Mohan, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of IPG Company, which owns the entire LPL series.
Aura Lanka Group of Companies Chief Executive Officer Isuru Mannapperuma participated at the event.
Dr. Thambugala while sponsoring the Dambulla Team in LPL and has also promoted Sri Lankan art and open-air performing arts and CSR events as part of their corporate social responsibility.
Dr. Thambugala’s intention is to promote sports among the Sri Lankan youth through Aura Lanka Sports Institute in future and hopes to create sports and tourism employment opportunities both locally and overseas through this endeavour.
