A grateful son gives charity in remembrance of his parents

A 50-year-old man since his parents death 13 years ago goes to the Pasyala Public Cemetery on the 12th of every month to remember them and thereafter goes onto distribute food parcels and books to the needy.

Jagath Chandrasiri, 50, a former bus driver at the Nittambuwa CTB depot engages in the above practice every month to remember his parents.

Chandrasiri speaking about his practice said that what he has achieved in life so far was due to the correct path shown by his parents.

He said even while his parents were ill he took utmost care of them and now engage in helping the needy following in their footsteps.
