A champion blood donor in Galle, a well-known fishery entrepreneur, was felicitated by Galle District Chamber of Commerce and Industries (GDCCI) and Galu Pura Lions Club at the Blood Donation Crusade that had been jointly organized by the two organizations on Monday (15) at the chamber’s auditorium at Oroppuwatta, Galle.
The champion blood donor is L.M. Sujith of Meegoda, Wanchawala, Galle, a longstanding fishery entrepreneur in Galle who has selflessly donated blood on 87 times since his teens. At present he is 50 years of age.
At the felicitation Sujith was presented a special award together with a cash prize. Commenting on the success of the blood donation Galle District Chamber of Commerce and Industries Chairman Hemantha Gamage said 100 individuals voluntarily donated blood.
Galle HQI Kapila Senapathi, GDCCI Secretary Ashoka Samarasinghe, the chamber’s ex-chairmen Ravi Kalansooriya and Dhammika Lokuge were also present.
