The 47th Mustangs Trophy limited over cricket match between traditional rivals Royal College Colombo and S. Thomas’ College, Mount Lavinia will be played at the SSC Grounds on July 30 (Saturday.)
Royal College will be led by Gishan Balasooriya while the Thomians will be Captained by Ryan Fernando.
Royal are the Holders of the Trophy when they won the 20i9 game by one wicket. The match did not take place in 2020 and 2021 although the three day games were played.
A close battle for supremacy can be expected as both teams are evenly matched. Royal have won the Trophy on 23 occasions (including sharing it in 2002 and 2012) while the Thomians have triumphed on 23 occasions including sharing it in 2002 and 2012 while the match was not played in 1984.
