City Ride Shuttle Bus Service launched in Batticaloa

A City Ride Shuttle Bus Service was launched by Batticaloa Mayor Thiagaraja Saravanapavan yesterday (14).

It was jointly organised by the Batticaloa Municipal Council and the Happy Home Lanka Private Limited to introduce a short-distance shuttle service with the help of the ratepayers, students and public in Batticaloa.

The tickets were priced Rs. 50 for the public and Rs. 40 for the students. An app will be introduced to update the transport timings to eight times per day.

Batticaloa Government Agent K.Karunagaran, Regional Director of Health Services Dr.G.Sugunan, Municipal Commissioner N. Mathivannan, Former Parliamentarian G. Srinesan, Assistant Commissioner of Regional Local Government S.Pragash and Municipal Councillors were present.
