Eid, a time to reflect on peace, compassion and goodwill – Colombo Grand Mosque

In sharing this communal celebrations, Eid is a time for young and old to enjoy the sense of belonging, camaraderie and fellowship that comes from family, faith and community, states the President and the members of the Board of Trustees of the Colombo Grand Mosque in a Eid al-Adha message

While sending best wishes to all Muslims in Sri Lanka as we once again gather to celebrate the festival of Eid al-Adha.

The message adds: “Having curtailed or cancelled so many of the celebrations in the past due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the present crisis this year too might be less joyful”.

“We take this opportunity to express our felicitations through the beautiful traditions of Eid, finding time to reflect on peace, gratitude, compassion and goodwill. This is the joy of the community we share again this Eid. May the festival of Eid al-Adha be a blessing for Muslims everywhere”.
