SLBC Muslim Service holds poetry and short story competition

The Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC) Muslim Service had organized an All Island Poetry and Short Story Competition Awards Ceremony at Ananda Samarakoon Studio recently. It was held under the patronage of SLBC Chairman Hudson Samarasinghe.

Students of the Muslim Ladies College presented a welcome dance and Head of the SLBC Muslim Service Rinoziya Jaufer delivered the welcome address.

Former Minister Ferial Ashroff, SLBC Tamil Service Advisor and Tower Hall Foundation Member of the Board of Directors Hassim Omar, former Appeal Court Judge M.M.A. Ghafoor, Kollupitiya Jumma Mosque Trustee Muslim Salahudeen, J.J. Foundation Chairman I.Y.M. Haniff and Afzal Marikkar presented awards and certificates to the winners of the completion.

Ferial Ashroff and SLBC Deputy Director General Mayuri Abeysinghe were honoured with golden shawls at this event.
