Media put me in trouble - Johnston

Former Minister Johnston Fernando yesterday said that certain media institutions put him into trouble by telecasting edited versions of his speech made at Temple Trees on May 9.

He said that the edited speeches telecast caused massive destruction. “My properties came under arson attacks after this edited speech was telecast on media,” he said. 

Fernando who was granted bail on being produced before Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage, requested media institutions to air his full speech.

“It is not good to make comments when a case is being heard,” he said.
