Bus driver, conductor assaulted after accident

A bus driver and its conductor were assaulted in Kalmunai, Jaffna by a group of people on March 10 after a couple was run over by the bus in Mullaitivu.

The couple travelling on a motorcycle was seriously injured when they were hit by the bus and admitted to the Dharmapuram Hospital in Mullaitivu.

The enraged group of people had assaulted the driver and the conductor. They had fled and later surrendered to Dharmapuram Police. Dharmapuram Police are investigating.
