‘Seeds’ is coming in April

Sanjaya Nirmal of ‘Samara’, ‘Rosa Kale’ and ‘July 7i’ fame has come up with a new cinematic venture. Titled ‘Seeds – Prana’, the film began its publicity campaign recently in Thotaveli, Mannar. The film is set to hit the silver screen in April.

The story rotates around a tragic incident which took place in the island in 1544. It showcases the web of deceit that the Portuguese rulers conducted during the time that they ruled the land. The film’s trailer was released across Youtube, Facebook and Instagram.

‘Seeds’ will be the first film to be released in Sinhala, English and Tamil languages at the same period in Sri Lanka. Tray Hicks, Shyam Fernando, Dharshan Dharmaraj, Nita Fernando, Ranjini Shammugaraja, King Rutnam, Steven Mark Lordsic, Robert Siera, Peter Satternitez, Dinesh de Silva, Senesh Bandara Dissanayake, Kalpa Munasinghe and many others are part of the cast. Striner Adams is the choreographer. Dhammika Hewaduwatte is the Art Director and Costume Director. Buweneka Ranawaka is the make up artist. The sound mixing and editing is done by Shan Alwis. Shashin Gimhan Perera is in charge of the sound effects. Suneth Malinga Lokuhewa is the production manager. Priyantha Samarakoon is the assistant director. The production coordination is done by Fr Antony Nishan and Ranjan Prasanna. Nadeeka Guruge is the music director. The executive producer is Fr Prasad Harshan. ‘Seeds’ is produced by Janaka Perera.
