DHS Gems & Jewellery, a rising name in the gems and jewellery industry, reaffirmed its excellence by winning the Platinum Award for Best Entrepreneur of the Year among large scale enterprises in the Gem and Jewellery category at the Business World International (BWIO) Awards organised by Business World International at the Taj Samudra Hotel in Colombo recently.
“The main reason why our business is growing so fast is our ability to retain the highest level of customer confidence among locals as well as tourists. We were also able to bring in foreign exchange by exporting gems even during the COVID-19 pandemic. We will continue to work to strengthen our customer confidence and cater to tourists as well”, said Prof. Duminda De Silva,
Founded in 2006, DHS exports gems to more than a dozen countries with the aim of sharing Sri Lankan pride and beauty with the rest of the world and bringing foreign exchange to the country.
There are two DHS branches operating in Colombo and Dambulla and the company regularly participates in gem exhibitions in various countries to bring local gem awareness to the world.
