Paddy land filling from Galewela to Dambulla continues

The filling up of paddy lands on either side of the A6 Road from Galewela to Dambulla is abundant causing a severe environmental pollution, residents said.

They said that the paddy fields have been abandoned for many years. Illegal constructions are being carried out on these lands with the support of local politicians and certain government officials, they said.
