All schools, pre-schools in Western, North Western provinces closed

All schools, pre-schools and Pirivens in the Western and North Western provinces will be closed till April 30th due to the prevailing COVID-19 situation, said the Education Minister Professor G.L Peiris.

He said that academic activities in schools in other provinces will continue as usual.

Meanwhile, all Catholic schools in these two Provinces will also remain closed till April 30, a spokesman for the Bishop’s House told the Daily News today.

Fifteen schools in the Siyambalanduwa, Moneragala and Buttala Divisional Secretariat Divisions in the Moneragala District will also be closed till April 30.
