The Colours Awards ceremony of Pushpadana Girls School, Kandy was held on October 21 at the College Hall under the distinguished patronage of Lieutenant General L.H.S.C. Silva, Commander of the Sri Lanka Army, and the guest of honour was Dayalini Abeygunawardena, the Chief Executive Officer and Director of Fortitude Executive Coaching and a distinguished past pupil of the school.
The Principal of the school, Lalitha Egodawela received the chief guest and the other guests and well over 400 students of Pushpadana received awards such as Merit awards, Pushpa awards, and Swarna Pushpa awards.
The awards were for swimming, athletics, badminton, table tennis, eastern cadet band, basketball, chess, hockey, etc.
Apart from these awards, three more awards were presented i.e. two commendable performances and Best sportswoman of the year.
