The CFLI supports and empowers organisations addressing local issues while strengthening ties with civil society and local communities.
This year, the CFLI will contribute to promoting and advancing inclusive governance, women’s empowerment, environment and climate action and growth that works for everyone in Sri Lanka and Maldives.
By helping local organisations address issues that matter to them – including preserving natural resources and supporting local entrepreneurs who rely on them, promoting LGBTQ2+ rights and preventing gender-based violence – Canada is honoured to contribute to more inclusion and prosperity in Sri Lanka and Maldives.
The CFLI is a highly competitive programme that supports small-scale, high-impact projects designed and implemented mainly by local partners. “We take this occasion to acknowledge all of the excellent proposals we received and were unable to fund this year”, Canadian Embassy said.
