Manudi leads Sri Lanka at Women’s Under-19 World Cup

Manudi Nanayakkara from Princess of Wales College Moratuwa has been appointed skipper of the Sri Lanka under 19 women’s team for the ICC women’s under 19 T-20 World Cup to be held in Malaysia from January 18 to February 2.

Sri Lanka Cricket women’s Selection Committee headed by Hemantha Devapariya selected the 15-member squad to play in the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup Sri Lanka team grouped along with Malaysia, West Indies, and India for this major event. The selection committee named the squad after the Sri Lanka – Bangladesh T-20 series which ended in a draw (2-2).

The Sri Lanka team will leave for the World Cup today and they have pre-preparation period of seven days before the World Cup.

Moneragala), Sanjana Kavindi (Devapathiraja College), Danuli Tennakoon (Maliyadeva Balika Vidyalaya, Kurunegala) Limansa Thilakaratne , Shehara Induwari Devapathiraja), Nethangi Isuranjali (Travelling Reserve).
