The travel ban imposed against former Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka over an alleged motor accident that took place in 2016 at Rajagiriya, was yesterday temporarily lifted until April 20 by the Colombo High Court.
When the case was taken up before Colombo High Court Judge Sujeewa Nissanka, defence sought from the Court to lift the travel ban imposed against accused Ranawaka since he is expecting to go abroad for a personal matter.
After considering the facts, the travel ban imposed against accused Patali Champika Ranawaka was lifted until April 20 by the Colombo High Court.
The Attorney General had filed an indictment before the High Court against former MP Patali Champika, over the hit-and-run accident at Rajagiriya in 2016.
