All the 06 Sri Lankan students who represented Sri Lanka in 21st International Junior Science Olympiad – 2024 in Romania, won medals and arrived at Katunayake Airport on the morning today. This tournament was held in Bucharest, Romania from 12/02 to 12/11 with the participation of 315 students from 52 countries.
Sithumini Samarakoon of Sylvester College, Kandy, Anushka Iduwara of Royal College, Polonnaruwa, Thenuka Wickremaratne of Richmond College, Galle and P.Cassibal of Vavuniya Tamil College, who participated in the tournament, won silver medals.
Apart from this, the two students of Sylvester College, Kandy, Hasidu Navaratne and V. Shriram of Jaffna Hindu College also won Silver medals.
