The FTZMA Expo Mela 2023 organized by the Investment Promotion Ministry and the Free Trade Zone Producer’s Association will this fair and festival from December 7 to 17 at the Katunayake Free Trade Zone premises.
At the press conference held yesterday (30) at the Government Department of Information, Transport, Highways and Mass Media Minister Dr.Bandula Gunawardhana said this festival was an effort to light the lamps of light without carrying the dark clouds of the economic crisis facing the country into the new year, and as an opportunity for the public to buy export quality products at an affordable price during the upcoming festival.
Investment Development State Minister Dilum Amunugama said world famous brands produced in this country, which even the employees could not buy at first, will be able to be displayed and sold here, and it is a valuable opportunity for the people of this country.
The opening ceremony of this exhibition, jointly organized by the Investment Board, the Ministry of Investment Promotion, the Free Trade Zone Manufacturer’s Association and the Mass Media Ministry will begin on December 7 at 6.30 pm by President Ranil Wickremesinghe and from the December 8 to the 17 from 10 am to 10 pm at the “Park and Drive” be held in the premises of 2.5 acres of land. The primary objective is to provide export goods at cheaper prices to the people of this country as well as to the foreign people, and you who come to this exhibition are given the opportunity to buy about 30 consumer goods including clothes, shoes, bags, plastic goods and bicycles.
Local small industry investors have also been provided an opportunity for this exhibition festival and they have also provided an opportunity to buy exhibition booths at affordable price. The fair will have around 100 stalls with DJs providing music after 10 pm.
