Visakha Vidyalaya’s White Team takes the spotlight as Orange Ball Champions
Ananda College and Visakha Vidyalaya showcased their tennis prowess, securing victory at the YETI-SLTA All Island Schools Cool Tennis Tournament held at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association courts in Green Path.
In the Boys’ Green Ball category, Ananda College ‘A’ team emerged champions, with S Thomas’ College Mount Lavinia securing the Runners-up position. Meanwhile, in the Girls’ Green Ball category, Visakha Vidyalaya clinched the championship , with Musaeus College securing the Runners-up spot.
The tournament witnessed Visakha Vidyalaya’s Green Ball Yellow Team securing the first position, followed by Musaeus College’s Gold Team in the second position.
In the Girls’ Orange Ball category, Visakha Vidyalaya’s White Team claimed the first position, with Kalutara Balika Vidyalaya securing the second position. In the Boys’ Orange Ball category, Ananda College’s A team grabbed the first place, while Richmond College Galle’s Blue Team secured the second place.
The Girls’ Red Ball category saw Ave Maria Convent, Negombo in the first position, and Musaeus College’s Gold Team in the 2nd position. For the Boys’ Red Ball category, Richmond College Galle’s Blue Team secured the 1st place,followed by Ananda College’s A team in the second place. The tournament featured three age group categories: Under-7 Red Ball, Under-8 Orange Ball, and Under-10 Green Ball, where participants displayed their tennis skills and competitive spirit.
