SJB MP Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka said on Saturday that if he ever gets power, he will teach former President Maithripala Sirisena on how to deal with the Easter Sunday attacks and about law and order.
He said that former President Maithripala Sirisena gave him the Field Marshal post based on the undertaking given by the United National Party to him in Parliament. He added that it was a promise given at the Presidential Election campaign.
Speaking at a public rally held in Welioya on Saturday, Fonseka said that the country’s economy, education, health and other sectors have collapsed and the people are unable to have three meals a day. He said that the economic experts cannot recover the country as long as there is corruption in the country.
Fonseka added that the present Government is postponing the elections due to the fear of the people. “Similarly, the country’s resources are being sold. A 50% of the politicians in this country are corrupt and another 35% are in the mindset of becoming elites and the rest are intelligent and love the country. The MP also mentioned that there are about 15% politicians.
