Police was called by the school principal after two carpenters who were repairing the room to be used as a canteen found a weapon in the ceiling. Police investigations have revealed that this School and the surrounding area was reserved for holding the Deyata Kirula exhibition in 2015 and a Navy unit in charge of the activities as well as a Police station were established in the college grounds.
Politicians as well as other personnel had visited the area frequently those days to examine the preparation for the exhibition. But it had been abandoned after the Government change in 2015.
The room whether the weapons were found has not been used for a long time, according to Police. Even the weapon they found had rust on it. Police are investigating the incident.
