Over 125,000 tourists visited Sri Lanka last March - Minister

Tourism Minister Harin Fernando yesterday said that 125,495 foreign tourists have visited Sri Lanka last March and it is the highest number of tourists

who have come in one month since February 2020. He said this is a significant increase when compared to106,500 tourist arrivals recorded during the corresponding period last year.

He said that the largest group of tourists came from Russia, India, England, Germany and France in March and 335,679 foreign tourists have come so far this year. By the end of this year, the government is focusing on bringing in 2 million foreign tourists to the country.102,545 foreign tourists have come to Sri Lanka in January and 107,639 in February this year, the Minister said.
