Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage yesterday ordered the OIC of the Public Complaints Division of the Police Headquarters to take all necessary measures to safeguard the safety of the two notorious well-known underworld criminals Nadun Chinthaka Wickramaratne alias “Harak Kata” and Salindu Malshitha Gunaratne alias “Kudu Salindu”.
The Magistrate further ordered that if the suspects are taken outside for any investigation, it should be conducted only under the supervision and custody of the OIC of the Public Complaints Division.
On March 23, the Magistrate had issued an order directing the OIC of the Public Complaints Division of the Police Headquarters to submit a report to court pertaining to the actions that have been taken regarding the two suspects.
The Magistrate made this order pertaining to the request made by the attorneys appearing on behalf of the suspects.
