Sober Sports Club, Addalaichenai beat Evertop Sports Club, Addalaichenai in the final to emerge champions and bagged the ‘Supersonic Mega Night Trophy-2023’ of the eight-a- side limited 5 over’s flood-lit cricket tournament conducted by Supersonic Sports Club, Addalaichenai at the Addalaichenai Public Playgrounds recently.
Altogether 54 prominent cricket teams from the Ampara district took part in the tournament. Addalaichenai Sober Sports Club, won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 39 runs in their allocated 05 overs for 5 wickets. In reply, Addalaichenai Evertop Sports Club, scored only 35 runs, losing 5 wickets.
Man of the match was Mifra and the Man of the Series was Akram of Sober SC. Best Bowler – Inath of Evertop SC and most sixes – Asjith of Sober SC 3 were awarded prizes.
Winners were awarded Trophy and Rs.40,000.00 cash prize by the Guests and the Addalaichenai Evertop Sports Club was awarded a cash prize of Rs.20,000.00 and trophy.
