Sword used to sever hands found

The Mount Lavinia Division Crimes Unit said that the sword that was used to sever the hands of an individual in Moratuwa was found yesterday morning among rocks in the sea at Moses Road, Egodauyana.

The suspect had said that the hands had been thrown into the sea at that particular place. A 33-year-old person of Janapriya Mawatha who had provided accommodation to the suspect, has also been taken into custody.

The suspects were due to be produced before the Moratuwa Court yesterday (26).The Mount Lavinia Division Crimes Investigation Unit is carrying out investigations.
