Ratmalana Sports Club, Colombo beat Eastern Brilliant Sports Club in the final to emerge champions and bagged the ‘Champion Trophy-2023’ of the limited 15 overs Visually Handicapped cricket tournament conducted by Uthayam Association of Visually Handicapped at the Sivananda play grounds, Batticaloa recently.

Uthayam Association of Visually Handicapped Officials organized the tournament to mark the completion of 25th years of the Association. Ratmalana SC Colombo team emerged champions of the tournament and the Eastern Brilliant SC team emerged runner-up.

Eastern Brilliant Team batted first and scored 94 runs in their allocated 15 overs for loss of seven wickets. In reply Ratmalana Colombo Team scored 95 runs in the 14.2 over’s.

Ratmalana Team Skipper Dimutha Perera was adjudged the man of the match

Eastern Province Public Service Commission Secretary M.Gopalaratnam was the chief guest at the award ceremony.

Manmunai North Divisional Secretary V.Vasuthevan, Batticaloa District Social Service Officer S.Arulmozhi, Association Advisor and Eastern Province Team Coach T.Vinayagamoorthy, Batticaloa Ramakrishna Mission Manager and others graced the occasion.
